Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy in self-isolation after family member is tested for coronavirus
Manchester City and French defender, Benjamin Mendy is self-isolating after a family member was tested for coronavirus. The 25-year-old defender will stay away from City training until he is clear. Paramedics arrived at Mendy's home in Cheshire on Thursday and the France international will self-isolate as a precautionary measure until the results of COVID-19 testing are available. A City spokesperson said: 'The club can confirm that a family member of a men's team player is in hospital with symptoms of a respiratory illness. 'The individual has undergone tests at hospital, one of which is for Covid-19. Until the results are known, the player in question is self-isolating as a precaution.'
