Here are exclusive pictures from Burna Boy’s sold out concert at the Apollo Theatre New York on Friday April 5th 2019 and his Next Stop was in Chicago Sunday 7th April at Thalia Hall still on the African Giant Tour.

Burna Boy performed to over 2000 fans and music lovers for almost 2 hours.

ABOUT BURNA BOY

Burna Boy is a Nigerian based Afro-fusion singer, songwriter and performing artiste signed to his record label Spaceship Entertainment. Born Damini Ogulu in Port Harcourt to parents Bosede and Samuel Ogulu, he is the only son and eldest of three children.

On the 26th of January, 2018, Burna Boyreleased his fourth album, titled ‘Outside’.The 13-track album was preceded by singles “Sekkle Down” ft. J Hus, “Koni Baje,” and“Heaven’s Gate” ft. Lily Allen which were accompanied with a music video.

The “Outside” album debuted on Billboard’s Reggae Albums Chart at the Number 3 spot topping his debut album “L.I.F.E” which peaked at number 7 on August 31, 2013.  He performed his first concert in Lagos "Burna Live" which acclaimed great success featuring alot of nigerian and international appearances on stage, he also won 4 awards at the 2018 SoundCity MVP awardsceremony in December 2018. He opened up the year 2019 with the hit single "Killin Dem"in collaboration with Zlatan.

THE THUGGIN/DARKO VIDEO IS AN IMMERSIVE PERSPECTIVE ON GANG VIOLENCE

Burma Boy seems dedicated to make 2019 his most creative year yet. With the release of the collaborative EP with DJDS  ’Steel and Copper’ still fresh out of the booth, the afro fusion artiste has released a short film for two tracks off the EP ’Thuggin’’ and ’Darko’.

The short film tells a sad tale of gang violence and its consequences. The video opens with ’Thuggin’ and we follow Burnathrough the motions of being a caretaker and gang banger and seamlessly transition into’Darko’. Even though there's a slightly different undertone to this part of the video, with a slightly more celebratory feel, the message isn't lost.

With the videos, Director Daniel Regan was able to provide a deeper perspective to the already thought-provoking tracks. We especially appreciate seeing more immersive videos from Burna Boy.
