Top forgotten great Naija rappers

Top forgotten great Naija rappers

Rapper they say comes and goes as the case may be and the Nigerian environment has made it almost impossible for musicians in the genre to survive causing a handful of the ones that cannot diversify to simple bow-out and retired from there ones successful musical careers only a few even make it in the limelight and like Phyno will always ask have you seen an rapper win artist of the year in any Nigerian music awards?

And trust me non have been on any list unless am mistaken anyway.

The major problem with rap in Nigeria is not just the fact that you dont get awards but also the fact that for you to come out and be know you must know equally how to sing otherwise you should look for some other sector of the entertainment industry to fill in.

Naeto c : He was a top Naija rapper and was known as the only MC with an MSC as he fondly called himself yes that was what he was for sure and was also on top of MCs list as of the early 2000s he keep it as strong as he could until he couldn't anymore but everyone had a high expectation of the rapper but all died down when the fans heard nothing from him during the years the was the only artist in the music industry that the young African musical artist ever paid to get featured in his first single when getting started in the music industry.

Eedris Abdulkarem : Yes The self proclaimed way paver or forerunner for younger artists was once good as of late 1999s but faded away as time may have it and lost his fan base and everyone lost interest in his music cause my big man couldn't adapt to the changing wave of the industry.

Mode 9 : The once king of rap in Nigeria that won the best rapper almost all the time was once a rap gaint but the only problem he had was the fact that he always won awards but no one actually knows his songs or went for his show and he ended up broke due to his lack of marketing skills.

Skales : These pop singer was once a rapper at EME his previous record label so that makes him officially dead as a rapper even though he still sings once every now and then and i can vow for him cause he will never go back to rap again simply because he didnt make anything as a rapper but got fame when he started singing.

Jesse Jazz : This once sleek rapper was so good that people always compared him with his brother M.I who currently is the only remaining rapper of pure English in Nigeria.

But Jesse couldnt hold on to rap which brought he fame and fortune so he had to do the unexpected and started to sing reagea which unfortunately killed his career and brought about the end of his musical career.

Adaora : This lady was actually among the first successful female Mcs in Nigeria but the unfortunate happened for her that she couldn't adapt and perhaps that helped end her career way be if she was still around she would have been the Nicky Minaj of Nigeria but times do change these days no female MC in Naija has the balls to go into rap not to think of coming close to being a superstar in this genre of music and possible there might never be any female Mc to excel in the rap game.

WeirdMc : This female rapper rocked the Nigerian rap music scene to the point of being among those musicians to every feature on a P-square song, Yes thats how successful she was as of then.

Her rap was more like a Missy Elliot kinda song and both sounded almost alike the only difference was in there weight and body type.

Does music really need to be studied

Does music really need to be studied

Nowadays due to the high money or high success story of the entertainment industry many untalented people or students have taken to study music due to what most parents perceive as being a successful niche for any young person to go into mostly due to the below number or possibilities of there child getting a job a smart student that wants to become a successful as a lawyer goes ahead to study what most the times termed as unnecessary education.

After much ado it is perceived as a wasted time by the said child but wait a minute the story is not always like that it can actually be a success story like having a legend like Fela on his own decide to study music or having the great daviod study music as the only music study with a department being errected on his behalf by his father in his school Bancork University even though he was not always in school but at-least he ended up with graduating from the university.

So here are a few things listed below that helps answer the question asked above.

 - With a music school you can learn all music history:
This is one of the major reasons why most people will probably study music just for knowing sake but also to be able to know the music history and be able to defend their studied course anywhere they are are called upon perhaps during argument or just for for being referenced to by their friend for having to know all about the music industry or history so they can boldly say "Hey friends i studied music you can ask me anything" kinda like a musical professor or a music expert.

People who know music very well should as well know how to play multi-instruments and can become music teachers in schools and universities and make money out of it while teaching other people online or offline as the case may be.

 - A greater number of great musicians are not musicians :
Yes.. Almost 99% of the well known successful musicians all around the world didn't study music while at school some actually did study music but where not as successful as those with shroud talent that can actually got it from nature you can as well say that the two given examples are successful as per say in the music industry but you cannot also forget the fact that not all musicians studied music per say.

 - Its a step ahead for someone that actually studied it:
When someone has this two main factors (Talent and study) which is considered as the two of the most important factors for a successful musical career the said musician can easily surpass his predecessor that started music before him or her as the case may be.

With the said examples above one can easily say or summarize that one needs not study music others can equally say that studying music is a must for musical success but no matter the angle you look at it one thing is for sure, both of you are right but having a combination of both can be more of a perfected thing than just picking one so if you thing you have the talent but dont have the money or time in going to school to study it then that is OK but if you have time for both it is highly encouraged for a greater success and a faster movement unto the musical world.

Top Nigerian artists that couldn't diversify

Top Nigerian artists that couldn't diversify

Diversification is one of the keys to musical longevity that can determine how far and how long an artist can go during there time of being in the music industry a well diversified artist can always be able to wove with the current trend no matter what is trending in the industry but it all depends on the talent of the said artist per say and of-course there adaptability.

Once an artist master the act of diversification they can easily know what is currently trending and divert to it while equally sticking to there best type of music that they can do easily without breaking a sweat that why artists are always advised to learn how to diversify in order to expand there longevity.

So here are a list of artist that failed or are failing in there current music genre diversion or perhaps they  might later master it later but advised to do that as fast as possible unless they dont want to be part of the music industry while this advise goes to those that are currently trying to adapt to there current genre move the rest are advised to experiment on other music genre if they cant they are advised to go and be doing traditional music.

Ice Prince : Currently our beloved rapper that helped bring to us a BET award is now currently trying to sing but the best advise from us to him is for him to change from Afro-pop which he is currently experimenting with back to what we used to know him for which is rap which equally brought him fame and fortune unless he wants to go back to being an upcoming in that musical genre.

Jesse Jagz : The M.I Abaga junior brother that excited the whole nation with his slick rap acts unfortunately moved to reggae which helped end his musical career and make him an unknown artist lately the best thing for his is to go back to rap you can check out this article on (Top forgotten great Naija rappers).

Korede Bello : One problem Korede had right from the beginning of his career was that he didn't understand the Nigerian music scene and couldn't adapt with Afro-pop which he tried to do although he was with one of the biggest music labels in Nigeria.

He had his mind wrapped round the American Micheal Jackson kind of pop which was not his thing and he ended up not being able to adapt with Naija pattern of music.

Black Face : The member of the defunct music group Plantatnun Bois although he always to be the one that wrote almost all the hit tracks sang by the group he still was the least successful among them all and the most unfortunate thing that happened to him was the fact that he never released a hit single but still claims to be a  great song writer.

He stuck with an old form of Naija ghetto reggae kinda song that was mostly center around complains of what the government cant do and beefing people too this helped to keep him unknown only to be heard whenever he makes claims of writing hit songs in Nigeria.

Watch the First Teaser for Jason Reitman’s ‘Ghostbusters’ Sequel

Sony Pictures released a first look at the upcoming movie which is a sequel to the 1984 film. The footage shows a just a glimpse of Ecto-1.

The studio had announced on Tuesday (ONTD post here) that there will be another “Ghostbusters” installment, most likely in the summer of 2020.

Reportedly the franchise is a priority for the studio, despite the disappointment over its 2016 reboot of “Ghostbusters”.

Perhaps because of that, this installment has no connection to the 2016 movie.

How to blow fast in the music Industry

How to blow fast in the music Industry

The music industry is a very large talent sector where people flock into each year trying to gain fame and fortune only to realize that they have another problem which is to make it big in the industry so if that is your major concern then read on in order to digest it all and equally check or sister article on (The pain of the entertainment industry) to learn more about the industry.

So here are our top ways to blow fast in the music industry below.

 - Get noticed and signed by a big record label: Getting noticed these days by a record label can be a very hard task but with dedication and publicity on both online and offline media outlets it can be a little easier one should know that dedication and persistence to creative works are the main ingredients needed to make it back but trust me even the publicity can become another task if you are not really talented but having a good blogger by your side can make things a little easier.

Doesn't matter if one is talented, untalented, unperfect with their craft or yet to become perfect about the whole music stuff or not trust me there are people in the music industry that has little or no talent but are making it in the industry so no cause for alarm if you can sing then promote yourself until real musicians gets that you love music but cant sing thereby helping you or turning you into a hype-man.

 - Get a collabo : A good collabo is like a sure thing in the music industry that whenever you are able to secure a good one you are sure of success and a handful of shows and money for your hard-work.

One good collabo is all that you need to get started with and push your name out to the streets and have your song banging at all the corners of the street with little promo on your path trust me if a good collabo can be secured by a good blogger like us you are sure if a hit song banging all round Naija and we can get you to do a good collabo with any of your favorite Naija artists with no stories to your payment.

 - Do your video fast : This one can be said to be optional for those of us that are still getting started and cant afford to shoot a standard music video but its no option for anyone who can achieve it and should be considered a major priority for anyone who wants to get there face out there and be known by your superposed music fans so as for you to be able to go far as an artist and build your fan base and create an emotional relationship between you and your fans as to grow along with them and
in order to have a better understanding of what they really like so ass to implement it into your future music works.

 - Make friends with bloggers and pay them well : Yes we the bloggers can get emotional about your work thereby pushing your work as far as we can but it all depends on the relationship you guys have built but no matter what relationship or how high the emotions are coming on the path of the blogger a good payment can have us push your work as far as we can and it can all depend on how good the work is in most cases.

Imagine a situation whereby the blogger gets so emotional as to the point whereby they post your work without demanding anything and then reminds you as to the fact that they have posted the song already and for the upcoming to not even reply or you and later send a song expecting you to do the same even if the blogger gets so emotional to that previously.

Trust me you have killed that emotion and no blogger will ever post your song again because little things like thank you feedback mail can make the artist eager to do more.

 - Make friends with Djs : Same thing goes here for the blogger and the Dj but a close relationship with top Djs can equally help but your song only to smaller scale than that of the blogger who can push your song to millions of people depending on how you motivate them.

The pain of the entertainment industry

The pain of the entertainment industry

The entertainment industry is a no pain and no gain industry were artists and actor of this industry that really lacks real consistency and endurance tends to fade out and disappear in the tin air within a matter of few years for some and for those that couldn't endure the no pain and no gain of the industry should read on to learn about there mistakes of what should have been there faith if they really stayed on and held on to the industry.

Here are a few of the pains of the industry that most people dont get to be able to endure for one or two reasons.

 1. The industry in always filled up : No matter what your thoughts are about the industry in any country of the world the number one fact of the industry is understanding the fact that each year a large number of youths tropes in just to try there hands on the industry just to know how lucky they can get and maybe of-course blow fast and become an A-Lister in the industry thereby gaining more fame, cash and endorsements.

The fact to the industry will always be that you just have to endure because everyone has there own time to blow and having the mindset that this pain is inevitable is something one must understand no matter what and develop a thick skin for pain.

When an artist understands this it wouldn't be hard for one to understand why it took them 10 years to climb to the top while it took others 2years.

 2. It needs money : Yes this one is inevitable for someone that is really mean about going into the entertainment industry.

It sometimes sounds like a mission impossible when an artists contacts you and dont want to spend but instead wants publicity which is almost impossible here is a break down of it all for both the music and movie industry below.

 Music industry breakdown:
No matter how talented you are you will still need promo unless you want your work to be listened to by just you, your friends and your family member you just have to spend or get signed by a record label to take up the expenses on your behalf.

You have to pay the Bloggers to push you online, Radio houses, Djs and Alaba promoter or perhaps just subscribe to our services by placing a request on our contact page for proper online and offline promotion.

Move Industry Breakdown :
Cash plays a huge role here too because you have to pay directors and producers to get a good role or perhaps spend more years only for you to later learn wht to have done in the previous year and save yourself years of playing small and getting pie-nut roles.

3. Consistency : Based on the fact that talent has level and other factors that may come to play you just need to keep on keeping on otherwise you might end-up leaving when you are about to hit the limelight ask people like Phyno, Timaya for a better explanation you will understand that you need consistency to keep moving on till you finally make it for yourself in the industry.

4. Knowing someone : Yes who do you know and what contacts do you have to even start off with knowing just one superstar can take you to where you want to be at that why some fast rising stars tends to have someone in the industry be it relation or friends to help him scale them to the top not minding when they started for artist the will start  going for big show due to a collabo with an already established artist while the other more talented person spends more time trying to make it.

5. Your full time is needed: In other spheres of life you can say that time is equally needed as an investment component for a successful career in all round things in life but non can be more demanding than that of an entertainment industry where by you can actually spend or sacrifice the time you will spend with your loved ones in other to achieve your dreams of been a star if your lover, partner and family has no problem with that decision then you have very little or no problem trying to make it come true.

But if otherwise you might have a problem moving ahead in your career so you truly have to weigh it all in and make them understand unless you probably thing you dont own anything as regards to going into the music industry.

In summary these factors must be applied to reduce pain in the industry.
