Naija Artist with the most albums
In music being relevant is the top priority of every artist both locally and internationally which requires a lot of hard work having just a single hit track can take you to shows but when it comes to the real thing which is hosting your own music shows it gets to seem impossible for the artist itself.
Most marketers might not take you serious because what they seek for is profit and nothing more in a social world that is dominated by sharing both the marketer and the record label will definitely seek for artists whom they believe will give them a hit and an album.
Most successful artists knows the power of having an album that most of them on this list just goes ahead and makes them at least within a two years interval even though its not a most for most of them this list is arranged in no order but to show the artists with the most albums in modern day Naija music.
But its not a must to do it every two years but it keeps artists relevant to there fans who will always yearn for it and mind you its very good for artists because you never can tell which song might be a hit especially in an every competitive Naija music seen.
So on this list we have taken our time to list out the Nigerian artists with the most music albums.

We all know that it takes extreme talent and hard work for an artist to keep on being relevant even after starting as a group and still wax strongly after the group been terminated a handful of musicians will simply disappear or stay irrelevant to there fans thereby causing them to retire and never to be heard from again.
But Tubaba is an exception not just to the fact that he makes good music but also to the fact that he bags more endorsement deals that most of his younger counterparts.
So far he has 6 albums ever since his emergence in the Nigerian music scene.
4. Psquare : The Square brothers where once most powerful music duo ever seen in Africa although no more had a good number of albums in their accord ever since they emerged as a music group as of then.

Naija artists that have been longer than ten years in the music game
Music industry is like a time bomb that its only a matter of time before the now hot artist turns to a forgotten ghost or turns himself to a music icon or even a legend in extreme conditions jusst as seem in the Naija music industry and around the world.
So next time you find an artist you listened to while still in high and now you are married or about to and he is still making waves you should show some respect because its not easy for him to stay there and become an OG in the Naija music game so ji have taken time to write artists that are now confirmed OG in the Naija music game and are ever green and young in our minds and are not going anywhere soon.
Here is our list below of your Naija music OGs
1. Tubaba : Mr innocent Idibia have refused to let go of the Naija music game and is still willing to compete with much younger artists who are meant to have more content as they are still new to the game but instead few have the durability of the Africa queen croner and this gets him more endusements and shows with his slicky voice and the street love by his side and still gets awrad norminations,
While trhe other duo (Blackface and Faze) of the plantation boiz are no where to found after there dissolution only Tuface have kept it strong and going even though face went father than Blackface but recently my guy is tired of doing music and possibly retired.
2. Rudeboy and Mr p : The former duo was the hottest in Africa but at the end of the day they are still in the game and now considered by some as upcoming artists so iguess its not easy being an upcoming artist even at that they are still in the game and that i the most important thing to consider considering thet fact that they are no more together as a group.
These two started music while still kids and according to rudeboy they have been more than 20years in the game but according to there discography it have being more than 10years since they started music so we will have to take it from there as supposed to 20 something years as supposed by rudeboy.
3. Ill bliss ( Oga boss) : The now indigenous rapper once rapped strictly in English but the millennial might think that this was the way he ventured into the music game not knowing that the inverse is true when you hear songs like Oga landlord what comes to mind is how good this guy is but guess what son he have been in the game for more than a decade back in the days of the likes of Eedris Abdukareem the Nigeria Jaga Jaga crooner.
While his mates in the music have almost all retired he still keeps doing his thing and stays strong in the going and his use of Ibo language while rapping makes you to love him and let you to know that he is not going anywhere soon.
4. Timaya : The Egberi papa aka Papi chulo who i personally respect in the music game is an artist that was heavily criticized for going too deep in political cases that were normally neglected but negligence is not a thing for the Egberi papa who always speaks his mind.
Although critics have it that he no longer sings of sensitive thing that he was once known to do well which they once hated him doing but the era of pointing fingers in the music industry are over and music now more advanced and competitive like before due to may factors i guess he understands that and makes sure he stays afloat in an ever changing industry that expects a hit from artists back to back each year so haters try to understand.
You dont expect to talk about political corruption each time in your songs and expect to sell you will definitely sound boring which is the last thing to expect from artists so you always have to make sure you stay at top always.
Honorable Mentions
Don Jazzy : Even though he does little singing in his part his being part of the Naija music industry has gone a long way all the same without him there wont be the likes of Dbang, Wnde coal, Dprince, Dr sid of the Mohit squared and Tiwa savage, Ricardo banks, Korede Bello and Dija of Mavin Records he is the backbone to there success and he keeps going strong with his beat and backups.
Mi Abaga : Mr incredible has been incredible throughout the years right from the very first time he got signed to chocolate city he have succeeded in putting Naija rap on the map and still stays consistent not minding the fact that good indigenous rappers take a bigger bite when it comes to shows unlike when during his era and ofcourse not minding the fact that almost every rapper now wants to sing he always takes his place as there chairman and call them to other.

Top Ghana artists known and respected in Naija
Ghana music is love and greatly felt in Nigeria just like most of Naijas finest artists are felt in the Ghana music scene transcending down here in Nigeria you find that not what is perceived as a National success in Ghana is accepted in other parts of Africa just like every song out there that has ever been released.
Just like in every other country there are always one hit wonders out there that can shake the whole continent and beyond and after which you tend to ask yourself where these great artists went to without having a plan of a comeback to the industry but there are always those that hold there ground atleasts across the border for some time but its not always an easy feat for anybody to achieve but believe me you when it comes to respect these guys sure did there best and are loved greatly down here in Naija.
So wouldn't it be amazing if the list is made as seen below
1. Sarkodie : Sarks is no stranger when it come to love and rest from both the artists and there fans and critics believe me you this guy can shoot down any city he wants in Naija although he has not tried it yet but trust me this guy has a much loyal fans that are willing to go in and catch fun once they realize that sarks is town.
The only hindrance will be that he will need much publicity just like every other artist here in Naija and ofcourse everyone knows of what sarks can do without much ado his lyrical Powers is quite incredible and non to compare to in the whole of Ghana at-least for now even Nigerian rapper respect him and most upcomings would love to have him on there songs as to help create a banger.
2. VIP : These guys gained the hearts of Nigerians when they released there first album and to help spark there fans love they did a collabo with Tuface which was a banger as at that time but as history will have it these guys went on to disappear after there successful album release back then but there dissolution or retirement had everyone thinking but since then no one has heard from them ever since but we have our fingers crossed that they may still come out with something good as they once did.
For them to become relevant again in the Naija music scene and to there fans down here in Naija they will need a good album and a strong marketing plan so as to be able to gain there ground and still be accepted as what they once was and trust me if they can do that they will then be able to shutdown any city as they could have done years back.
3. R2bees : These guys have a slow and steady sound that is unique with them and recognized in Naija especially there hit track slow down ft wizkid these song was strongly accepted in Naija and they ended up gaining both love and respect from there fans down here in Nigerian.
But the truth be told they will need more hit tracks so as to be able to shoot down any city that they want and wish to as the case may be or perhaps more collabos.
4. Shata wale : These guy is known down here in Naija for one thing his big mouth he is ever ready to talk trash like an old lady but i will perhaps respect him when he learns to talk to people although the guy is shameless he should learn how to talk to people especially bigger artist.
I guess he wouldn't be able to shoot down any city in Naija but ofcourse we do know his name but rather he might get himself into trouble when he show up truth be told he should go ahead and apologize to people and learn how to talk to people because its not good to be disrespectful.
In conclusion after reading this article you will learn as an artist that you dont just need to be known and that its better to be loved and respected by your brothers from another mother in Africa.

Naija Artists that lost there place to beef
when it comes to beefing it have come a long way in the music industry which serves as an advantage for some but has caused some artists to loss there lives and careers in a much better occasion as the case may be so where you want to start one make sure you can finish what you started otherwise its better to stay off like olamide always does.
Beefing a bigger competitor in the industry is like a death sentence which can go against you because your fans might not find it funny in any that you are always on the news for one beef or another if you still dont understand ask 2pac and Biggie smalls they can give you a better version of there stories.
One thing that is certain with beef is that it adds up from very different angles and you will end up having new enemies with the cloth of being fans and are willing to add up more fuel to the fire that is already almost unquenchable if you are the silly type you will ride to the praises and might end up where you never expected to be which i believe is the last thing you would want in your career.
So make sure you try as much as possible to stay out of trouble because at the end of the day you have nothing to prove to the evil fans that wants to see your end on the list below you will read and learn from these incidents below from different artists in Naija.
1. Nico Gravity : The finish Timaya crooner will for ever be remembered for his hit song (finish Timaya) where he heavily criticized Timaya a younger artist and found it fun to make such a track even though he might not have had any bad intentions as he had though he help gain more critics and enemies to the fellow artist.
Although i still dont understand what his intentions where but it was a very stupid decision in his part to paint a fellow artist black because you think you are a better artist or something which he never openly apologized in any track but instead went on to do the part 2 of the song which he titled finish Timaya session 2.
The last album was considered stupidity or hate taken to the next level and unfortunately for him he never got creative to do any other song apart fro those two which i consider a failure in his part lesson to learn here is if the industry is not favorable to you dont try to paint anyone black so as to blow because its not proper.
At the end of the day Timaya himself used the song each time he wanted to step into the stage and as time may have it as of since then no known song has been released by him ever since but instead the man he tagged as being a fake singer is still going strong.
2. Kelly handsome : The Maga don pay crooner which was a heat song back then but letter criticized by critics for promoting illegal internet business in Nigeria although he helped popularize the word Maga and Mugu an infusion of pigeon and Ibo word to the Naija pigeon dictionary had his turn then.
Althogh he letter got into beef with the likes of MI who as of then still had his head hot had to respond but non of the beef was direct as that of Nico gravity who was way too open with his own and it sure did take its tool from him as of then and as of recent he is no way to be found perhaps he must have taken his Maga activities full
time.
3. Blackface : One of the trio of Plantasion boiz group instead of focusing on his career after the three was no more instead held tight to beef with the most popular of the group ( Tubaba) at the end of the day instead of putting his differences aside kept his pressure and at the end of the day as of this present day Naija music when you call his name only a few still do remember him.
His problem was that he had more talent in trash talking rather than singing so it had its tools on him and no single hit was ever had from him.
4. Eedris Abdulkareem : The Nigeria Jaga jaga crooner although the song was a hit but it was a big problem for the artist after releasing the song he had to flee because even though his fans loved the song due to the fact that it was the truth he spoke but the then president of Nigeria Olusagun Obasanjo didn't find the song funny so he had to relocate for a while instead of going for shows as of then.
Even though the list can be expanded to international artist this was the most notable ones in Naija music scene.
So which artist had the same fate.

Top names to mention on a song for cash and support
It has always been part of the Naija music culture to call names when ever a song is made which adds up the possibility of the rich duds giving artists cash as an appreciation or free promo as the case may be.
Trust me it doesn't hurt if you add up a name or two in a song you feel will go far so as to get a little spicing from the guys know to help you trust me we are in Africa and you should know who is your daddy in the game and it helps you move a step further trust me it works.

Top underrated musicians in Naija
As the industry may have it not everyone are always equally rated that can give a better explanation to the reason why most artist gets all the nominations why some are only live with little or no nominations as the case may be thereby being underrated or seem undeserving of the awards and the nominations.
But the world doesn't always work that way while some get most of the nominations and awards it doesn't always result to commercial success in the Naija music industry so in this article i have taken my time to write down the top underrated artist that deserve more than they get but ofcourse the street always serve justice to them thereby resulting in their financial and commercial success even why award organizers seems to neglect them in there awards.
so here is the list of the well deserving artists below.
1. Timaya : Papi chulo as his currently nicknamed started music more than ten years ago and is still going strong non stop year after year and ofcourse back to back we all saw what he looked like when he released his first commercial album ( Dem mama) it blew up not just in the south south part of Naija but also in the east and the west this album gained him street recognition a nickname the Egberi papa 1 of bayelsa and ofcourse some good cash.
One of the problems with the song was the artist who was perceived as a rebel by not just the marketers but also the public this image will go along way in making him known as a person not to mess with when on the street and guess what the street embraces one of there own and doesn't let go of an out spoken person like him this went on to bag him a peace ambassador even though he back then was crowned the king of controversy but you guessed it right it was all in the personnel.
But to the award organizers it didn't seem right to them even as of today the Egberi papa 1 is still short when it comes to awards but truth be told he goes on strong non stop each year doing what he knows how to do better than anybody he is better than and ofcourse there is no denying that he is the king of Afro reggae dance-hall.
2. Teckno : Alhaji teckno aka slimdaddy is one artist that no denying has been going strong for a very long time now not minding what you have to say a critics can easily tag him just a good producer with bod verses to kill a song and make it dance-able for the club goers to dance to.
Trust me you can never go to any club without having to hear a song from teckno who i personally consider top three Afropop artist in Naija since his release of his hit song holiday ft Davido he has kept on strong giving us club banger each year except you are just coming to Naija for the first time.
His song is always on the lips of an average kid in the street of Naija but my problem is that he get little nominations for awards which i consider inappropriate but on shows you can see the power of the street working for him, because everyone knows his songs so getting people excited about his song on shows is no problem.
He was nominated in the category of the next rated artist in Naija which Mr Eazi ended up winning it but we all knew who won the award but word on the street was that he lost the award just because not present during the award night which sounded like a scam that a real reason i guess Headies 2016 got it all wrong that night not minding what there reason was they should have at-least done the right so we say sorry teckno always be around because you never can tell who goes home with your award next time.
3. Phyno : The king of the East coast rap has in may occasions been ripped off he expressed his disappointment during the Headies award when he won the song of the year award with the song Fada Fada but guess what bro Headies always knows when you are angry if you think otherwise ask your guy Olamide how far after he openly expressed his disappointment with Headies when Ricardo Banks won the next rated award instead of Lil kesh as Olamide had thought.
It sounded funny when the Best rap album award was given to Modenine who no body listens to his song on the streets and it got me thinking who did the nomination whether the show organizers or the people did the nomination that same year had the likes of Phyno released his album but no problem because in the words of phyno he no longer cares about the awards but rather to sell out his shows and get his doe.
You tell us more artists that you have in your mind that are underrated.
